| Watching the Giant Lizards |
Nearby at Panviman Resort; usually they have feeding time, but if you consider yourself as lucky as us, we reckon that you are better off walking directly to the waterfall where you may get to see the wild giant lizards.

Walking to Bottle Beach takes about 1 hour from Baan Fai Mai. The trail is very easy to reach basically walk along the main road, which leads to town (Thongsala). Once when you see the melon stand which is actually selling cold drinks, then take a right turn and enjoy the steep road down the mountain. Be a bit careful of the steep road and I can guarantee that your trip is well all worthwhile. Altogether this hike takes about an hour and forty-five minutes. |
Walking to Thong Nai Pan Yai is much easier! Can be accessed by walking along the main road and taking a left turn at the road junction.
| Explore our little waterfall, which is called Thaan Prawes |
We can guarantee that this trip can make you sweat!
The best time to start walking toward there is 2:00pm
onward and the best way to see this spectacular waterfall
is to keep walking along the main road until you see
the wooden sign made by the locals saying "Thaan Prawes".
The entry looks like you are walking through someone's
backyard but it is the right & best way to see
the waterfall. It leads to almost the top of the waterfall.
In the dry season you will be able to walk all the
way down - it is beautiful.
| Mountain Biking & Motorcycling |
Koh Pha-Ngan has good facilities for people who love cycling. The island is perfect in size and has a large flat area on the south and west with a variety of sights, within a 20 km ride. Also, the dirt paths of Pha-Ngan are so much fun to run rocky paths to jump and try but from the top of my head, I can tell it is challenging. Mountain bikes can be rented at the shop called "Pha-Ngan Batik" in Thongsala Town or you can rent a mountain bike at our reception
Thong Nai Pan Noi beach has a couple of shops that can rent normal motorbikes. Rate of rental is around 250 -300 baht/day.
| Snorkel and Scuba diving from here |

Koh Pha-Ngan has many perfect diving spots for both
beginners and trained divers with colorful fish but
also smooth sandy bottoms for painless exploration
of the environment. For the trained diver, the West
Coast of Koh Pha-Ngan offers the best diving with some
fine hard coral reefs at depths up to about 20 meters
e.g. Mae Haad, Koh Ma. There are also available some
further sites such as Koh Wao Yai (in the north of
Angthong National Park or the famous Hin Bai (Sail
Rock). At Sail Rock, the dives are deeper with a great
range of marine life, spectacular underwater scenery
and a chance to meet bigger fish such as Manta ray,
whale shark. Snorkeling sites can be found around the
island but the most popular one is Koh Maa by Haad
Mae Haad on the west coast.
Also available is the KOH MA boat trip. Ask for availability at the reception at $$ (TBC)
Transfer: taxi price change to 200 baht round trip

Daily trips available to Koh Samui (Operates Feb-Oct) Thong Nai Pan Beach - Thaan Sadet Beach and Waterfall - Haad Thian - Haad Rin - Koh Samui |
The 40-seat long tail boat departs from Thong Nai Pan at 8.00 a.m and stops at:
Thaan Sadet Beach and Waterfall , where there is a quiet beach and the island's largest waterfall together, as well as an historic stone bearing King Rama V's initials. The quantity of water in the waterfall depends on the season. There is a nice restaurant on the hill and good views.
Haad Thian : Accessible only by boat, has a quite beach but because of the rocks on the shoreline the swimming isn't so good. There is also a restaurant and some bungalows.
Haad Rin : World famous for its monthly full moon beach party, has many bungalows and restaurants and is good for shopping and enjoying the lively night life in the many bars along the beach. Haad Rin is the busiest and most crowded town on Koh Pha-ngan.
Koh Samui ( arrival at Maenam Beach ): Larger and more developed than Koh Pha-ngan has a wide range of shopping, tourist attractions and dining and accommodation options. The nearest airport is located there. You can find more details about Koh Samui in the local guide books.
